Drumroll, please...

I got my dates!!! I am expected in Kaz on November 25th (maybe the 24th-- the agency hasn't seen the LOI yet).. So on Thanksgiving or the day after, I am getting on a plane! Which plane, I don't know yet-- still have to work out all the details.. But now it's time to get working on the rest of my "getting ready" list..

Thanks to everyone who is leaving advice and good wishes in the comments-- it is great checking in and finding everyone's messages!!

That's SO wonderful!!! I'm really happy for you. Are you making your blog private once you're in country? I'm sure your head is spinning—I know my head will be. Congratulations.

This is fabulous news! I am SO happy for you! Where exactly are you traveling to? If you make your blog private, please invite me! Thanksgiving sounds like an appropriate time to travel. Cold! But appropriate. I cannot wait to follow your journey and see pictures of you bonding with Little One! Congrats, you need to celebrate!

Thanksgiving is appropriate, isn't it? And I won't have to miss the turkey :)

I will be traveling to Karaganda, to the Shapgat baby house, and I promise that if I have to go private I will invite everyone who has come along on this journey so far. One of the things on my to-do list is to save all of your blog addresses on my (Debbie's :)) laptop so I can keep tabs on all of you too!

We're out here following your story, too, and we are so happy for you. We hope you'll let us continue to follow along if you go private. Our dossier is in translation, so we're a few months behind you in the process. Our golfercincinnati@yahoo.com address works great for blog invites! :-)

Congrats!
