It's snowing today! And the hotel just started to put up Christmas decorations-- this is the big tree in the lobby. The majority of the Kaz population is Muslim, but there must be a fairly large population of Christians here in Karaganda-- there is a Roman Catholic church under construction down the street. It is good to get a little taste of Christmas-- I was starting to feel like I had missed it.. Now I just need some Christmas music-- better yet, some Christmas cookies!
